Glenelg Shire
Glenelg Shire delivered a youth-led creative health initiative engaging students from a local re-engagement school.
What Was Delivered
Sixteen students participated in fortnightly sessions exploring the physical, mental and social impacts of vaping, while building advocacy skills to challenge misinformation.
In partnership with Powerhouse Productions, students co-designed and produced a short film titled One Vape, Two Choices. Using creative storytelling techniques, including animated fruit imagery, the film highlights how marketing can disguise serious health risks and explores themes of peer pressure and informed decision-making.
Complementary posters featuring QR codes linking to the film will be distributed across schools, sporting clubs and community spaces. The campaign will also be promoted through social media and showcased at a local festival.
