Surf Coast Shire
Surf Coast Shire partnered with Blurred Minds to deliver interactive education and creative youth-led prevention initiatives.
What Was Delivered
Workshops were delivered at Lorne P–12 College and Surf Coast Secondary College, reaching 540 students. Sessions addressed vaping harms, environmental impacts and industry tactics. Students transformed learning into action through creative projects, including anti-vaping posters displayed at schools and community events, and a youth-led World No Tobacco Day event featuring resources from Headspace, Quit and Barwon Health.
At Surf Coast Secondary College, students developed the slogan ‘Don’t Puff, Get Tough’, now printed on sporting equipment to reinforce the link between vaping and fitness.
Lorne students collaborated with a professional artist to design a vibrant wellbeing mural, accompanied by an interpretive plaque explaining its message.
These initiatives combined education and creativity to promote healthy choices and amplify awareness across the Surf Coast community.
